Authentic Egyptian Papyrus Art Painting of Queen Ahmose Nefertari/ Nefertari Ahmes, the first Great Royal Wife of the 18th Dynasty of Ancient Egypt, married to King Ahmose. This hand painted papyrus art piece is from the museum of papyrus by Dr. Ragab, The Papyrus Institute, in Egypt; originally purchased from the museum between 1968-1970.

Professionally framed in Maidenhead, Berkshire England. Later purchased in Oxfordshire England in 2017 & in my possession since this time. The papyrus painting of Queen Nefertari is in excellent condition & has never been removed from the glass covered professional framing.

The painting depicts Queen Nefertari Ahmes with her face painted in black, which Egyptian scholars say that black skin meant new life to the Egyptians. The color black was associated with rebirth, fertility, death and Egypt itself was referred to as Black Land, in reference to the fertile silt of the Nile that gave Egypt life.
